Taking photos of three generations of beach lovers? I was in my element to say the least!

We met at one of my favourite beaches in the Mandurah region that I’m lucky enough to call home, and we played, laughed and enjoyed watching the sunset.

What I love most about photographing families, apart from their connections, is seeing just how much fun they end up having. Most are surprised that it doesn’t have to be uptight – I encourage natural interactions, play with kids that you expect might not participate and try to tell a little piece of their story.

I helped Lucy prepare one of her favourite images for a large print and I can’t wait to see it hanging on her wall!
